Not an expert, but I would say they are late 2A because the door handles are on the door and not on the verticle door rod.

If they're gray, it'd put them after s/n 136546, per the parts manual.

This door is a tad later than yours.
Note: it still has the metal window frames but this door is attached to a windshield channel: Then here is the next door version after the one above. Note the diagonal rod is welded to the outer frame below the door handle and not above the latch handle. Also here the metal window frames were omitted. And the signal opening is curved. As best as I know this one is a typical 3a door. Edited by oldtime - 07 Apr. 2021 at 2:16am |

The snaps in front say that they are early. Hinge placement is another story.

Check out Bob W. post with the MAY 1948 pictures. Zoom in on the zipper it looks the same as in the photo you posted. So Very 1948ish.

I had just got to page 14 in jpets canvas research and saw this too, they look to be the same doors as illustrated. So there is the documentation for these particular doors. Finishing out the thread I noticed a broken link I had posted of some other canvas I purchased back in 2013 on page 15, so I fixed that link. Is anyone else only see picture icons on many of the posts? I think there is a problem with image posting. I know I have been getting an error trying to post images so started posting the links only. There is a thread about something stripping extensions when posting pictures here: https://www.thecj2apage.com/forums/image-url-mangling_topic44334.html As many of you know my 48CJ2A # 206759 is an original half cab: http://48cj2a.com/halfcab.htm When I purchased the Jeep it came with the half cab canvas (rear add on option is zippered), bows, and door hinge hardware but no doors or rear panel. I believe these to be the correct doors and are about in the same condition as my top. On the next available sunny day I'll fit everything and see.

Looks like an early CJ-3A door and the later CJ-3A/B door.

I had that problem with images that were hosted on my personal website. I corrected the issue by upgrading my site to secure "https".

Art - This is what I think the 1948 zipper looks like. I think it matches the zipper on the door you posted. Jeff made up some doors for me last year and I had these old zippers on hand that looked to match the Photo on page 14 of the 1948.

Good Afternoon Everyone: For Oldtime's doors, could they be M-38 as well? Please see below. Thoughts? Regards, Walter

The regular M38 doors were folding. The frames had disconnects and hinge points. In the photo you can see the fasteners in the canvas that allowed it to mostly separate from the frame for folding up into an easier to transport shape.
