Very cool! I actually have some PM adds that I framed years ago. Some for Jeeps and one for a Scout. They actually now hang proudly at my son's house. I have a four set hanging here as well.

A very good friend of mine - his father was a bit of a hoarder and had mountains of the small format PM. We combed through them and found all kinds of neat stuff.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

I want to know how it adds six forward speeds and two reverse. I want a nine speed transmission. I'm going to order one now. I bet it makes a great crawler and you can get her up to 75 MPH while getting 35 MPG.

I'm glad I got my jeep for only $50, instead of $62.50!  Typical surplus prices, right?  Smile

Seems to me that it does add six forward speeds and two reverse as you can use the OD in both the high and low range of the transfer case, so you wind up with 12 options going forward and four options for reverse. Only adds three taller gears forward and one taller gear reverse, all the other added options are between the gears you started out with.

Yeah, seriously, I bought my first Jeep in 1973; a severely-demilitarized M-38 with a Buick V-6 under the hood, I paid $800 for it then.  I'm not sure I want to know what that is in 2021 dollars.
