I have a 45 cj2a with a GPW engine. Changing oil, filter has no name but a number-03860.
It's 4 1/2" tall 4 1/8" wide.
Any help here? Napa and O'Reilly's couldn't help.

You may have the wrong filter for your canister, may need a Wix 51006, same as a Napa 1006 (made by Wix). They measure 5 1/16" tall and 4 1/16" dia.

Here is 3 different size filters you might find in Willys Jeeps (or anything else that uses the old canister filters.

I don't know what the dimensions for it are, but I use a NAPA 1076 in mine.  It's probably about the same size as the WIX 51080 shown above.  It looks like that one and not one of the ones with the handle.
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

One other Dia to consider is the inner tube.  They had the rigjt height and diameter for my purolator but the tube Dia was to small. I ended up with a Wix that works for mine

Here is my pics for my purolator.  Note the oreillys lookup didn’t fit as the oil tube hole Dia was to small.  This one was brought in and fits great.  The smaller numbers are the bottom hole diameter and the smallest number is the top diameter.  Over all length and over all canister Dia.
