I filled up the gear boxes again so the Willys can claim territory.

Got up about 9:30 (we are night paving) and got ready to run up to Richard Darr's place (Washougal Classic Jeep) about 75 miles north of me. about half of the trip is on freeway including the Columbia river crossing (I made real sure  my hat was screwed on real tight for that. I had to stop for fuel just before heading up into the hills to make sure I had enough.

We had a nice chat at his shop then I took him out to lunch and after lunch we headed up the river to end up at a great spot of a photo. The very long hill to this spot required me as I am stuck in OD to stop in the middle of the hill and drop to Low range 2nd Over Low range was perfect for the rest of the climb. Richard got a kick out of my hand throttle and how it made starting out on the step gravel hill so easy.

Anyway here is the photo opt.

As I have to work tonight and needed to run we didn't head up farther. I was hoping to avoid the rush hour traffic on the way home but ended up right in it.

Lots of thumbs up from people LOL.

OH P.S. Chugs got dirty today splashing though some mud holes on the way up and down.

Me and the wife started digging out a patio
So the horse really filled the roll of a draft horse, couldnt get enough in to even make the spring move but made life easier!

Itll be a 14x20 patio

I finally relented and fitted an Omix radiator and a new cap and hoses.  New water pump and head gasket a couple of weeks ago.
For the first time ever she holds coolant pressure!  No overheating either.

The Omix fitted well, seems a better fit than the original. it has M12 bottom mounts which was odd and needed a slightly longer top hose as the connection is straight rather than angled.  Looks good to me.

I finally rebuilt my transmission tunnel after working on rebuilding my tub for the past year. It’s been quite a challenge to get over that speed bump, but now I’m almost ready for welding.

Primered the tailgate on the 2A.  Fixed one of the accessory outlets on the 5 and converted the auto hot air choke to a manual choke.

Looks great!

You’re almost over the hump.

(I have no shame when it comes to bad puns.)

Painted the tailgate and wire wheeled the underside of the tub to prep for primer/paint and I need to weld up a few spots, I will be doing that tomorrow.  Looks like someone tried to POR15 or undercoat it at some point in time in it's past.
