Picture shows it all, and refreshes my memory a bit. I remember adapting a chain drive front plat to a gear drive engine years ago and I had to cut that hole to fit the cam plate, which answers the question about whether the chain drive engines have the same part, they don't.
Just got back from car shopping with the wife. She started out interested in the new Maverick mini truck, but I convinced her to buy a Bronco instead. Of course, I had no motive other than making sure she got what "she" wanted.
