We are one month out!
Here is the headcount that I know of:

Bob Evens (2) CJ3A
Tom J. (1)         CJ3A
Meiners (2)        CJ3B
Asprey (2)         CJ2A
Barry (2)         CJ3A
Stev (2)         CJ2A
Waddle (2) CJ3A (2 Jeeps)
Ruffy (2+) A bunch of old Jeeps
Rod (1+) Hot rod flat fender
Let us know if your are attending.

Ohio Weather 2022 - It just keeps raining here - every week.  This weekend we got 3 more inches (this is our dry season historically).  I expect this will be a wet trip.  Getting your wet weather gear and /or top figured out - check the recovery points on your Jeep - make sure your straps are in good condition - confirm your safety gear is in working order.  Do a good overall service on your Jeep.

(9/30) - Edit to update head count.

For the guys wanting to go hit the trails on Friday, what time were you planning to leave the parking area?

Probably around 10am, I’ll be camping and I plan on being down there Thursday afternoon.

Update

Head count:  It looks like 10+ Flat Fenders so far.

No Road Cruse this year:  Waddle is going on the unimproved roads this year "taking the bypasses".

Weather update:  We are finally in a dry patch of weather. The long range forecast looks dry for this trip.

I was thinking the same for Friday - start out at 10am.  I'll be camped there Thursday night too.  I'm wondering how many will be camping Thursday night or rolling with us on Friday.

I am planning to attend for both Friday and Saturday, but can't be there Thursday evening. I should be able to be there and ready by 10:00 Friday morning.

All of the campsites around the dam parking lot are reserved for the weekend. I’m curious on how many of those are Flatty guys

If someone else is wanting to camp but is unable to get a site near us now, I am in site 89 with plenty of room for another tent.

We are set for Saturday.  The weather forecast:  Cool and dry.  Looks like we will have 15+ vehicles.

The fall colors are really great this year.  I expect we should be able to cover a lot of ground.  The creeks will be down, climbs will be dry and hopefully the vehicles are all prepped.

Meet at the parking lot below the dam at 9:30.  We hope to depart at 10:00.

See you there!

Some have CBs but I think most use FRS/GMRS.  That's what I use.

Yes, we will have some CBs as well as FRS/GMRS.  Cell phone service is sketchy in some parts of this trip.

See - you tomorrow at the parking lot below the Dam at Tar Hollow State Park.  We roll at 10:00am

If I still lived in Ohio I would join in.   My two kids both went to OU for college.  SE Ohio is beautiful.   Good to see Joe Burrow do so well with the Bengals.   He's from Athens.

Well, the dust has settled, most of the mud has been washed off, and the 2022 Ohio Fall Colors Ride is in the books!  The trails were the driest in years, the weather was perfect, the fall colors were vivid, and the turnout was great!  17 jeeps, 31 hardy souls including 8 ladies, and 2 4leggers attended.  Old friendships were renewed and new ones were started.  9 jeeps just couldn't wait for Saturday and wheeled an extra day on Friday.  Rides ranged from relaxing forest roads to challenging trails that tested the metal of old Willys jeeps as well their occupants, with a few heart stopping moments thrown in.  The weekend was a complete success and I already can't wait till next year!

Here are photos of the folks that made this event special.  Let me know if I made any mistakes.  I will try to post links to the video I shot as soon as I can.
