Now you know why convertibles are sometimes referred to as "rag tops".
Looks like a project! Keep us posted with information and plenty of pix. Good luck, we have your back...as long as you have a service manual handy. Right, Bruce? |

Yep, a Service Manual, an Operator’s Manual, and a parts book should be secured before any thing else.

It is NOT a Jeep Willys! It is a Willys jeep.

Yep. Pack rats love the jumping cactus. Nice little balls of prickly joy. Slow and easy. Long handled bbq tongs work well

Nests removed. More clean up and inventory. Is this boring junk I'm posting?

No, we love pics! Especially of the rare coil sprung CJ2A's... very rare!
(Just in case you didn't know... that was a joke. They never came with coils) Edited by Scratch - 04 Aug. 2022 at 2:22pm |

I didn't know it was a joke and had an Afib.....for a second. Dizzy now. Pix back to not posting. I will stay with it. Doing the same procedure with different results. Got to call Dr. Einstein.
I really wish the error message would tell me what is wrong. Edited by SeeJayTwo - 04 Aug. 2022 at 2:35pm |

it seems to me that it is possible that patience may be the problem. try waiting more than a minute or so after hitting one button before hitting another. and in browser bar make sure it does not show signs of "thinking". as in the bar has gone all of the way across.
i learned that having a great deal of patience between each step solved most problems. but not the rotated image issue! un-solvable?

I don't see any other paint layer than the light'ish blue. If it is "original", what does it indicate. Did these come painted in early 46? If they are built with some WWII parts they would be OD? What kind of a dealer was selling them?

DA Mess!!!!
Patience was the key I think. Thank you. Maybe some posts have max pic count depending on the moon phase. My reduced sized pix come up as 312/234. Sometimes I change to 320/240 and it works. Other times leave 312/234 and it works. Sometimes neither works. I'm very happy with the forum and pic loading. We work with what we have. I /helpers have proven that a lot is user and patience. Lots of effort to create a website without a lot of funding. Appreciated to creators, moderators, editor and members.

That wasn’t a factory paint color in 46. There were only a few. Like 5 or something. They might have added some late 46… maybe someone will post up the colors, I can’t remember. If there are data plates on the passenger side firewall, in the engine compartment, that’s a good place to look under for original paint. Also underneath by the transmission maybe, under the probable grease that’s sure to be there…
Not that there’s anything wrong with that color if you like it. Personally, I like vintage look of it. It’ll be nice to see it once you clean it up a bit and get some decent tires on it! Edited by Scratch - 04 Aug. 2022 at 8:47pm |
