I feel a bit foolish for having to ask this.  My brake light is not working and I want to check the bulb.  I looked at the chrome bezel and it has a small phillips head bolt in the bottom of it.  I removed it and now the bezel spins about 90 degrees, but will not come off.  What's the secret to removing the bulb?

The bezel pops off once the screw is out. Sometimes it takes a little effort to get over the little nipple holding it on the housing. I use a flat tip with piece of electrical tape around it to pop the bezel off.

Thanks.  I was hesitant to pry on it.  Also do you remember where the little nipple is located, i.e. top, bottom, right side, or left side?  It seems pretty smooth on the areas I looked at so I'm not sure where I can get a good pry on it and I'll try the electric tape idea.

I used your technic and it worked. Thanks.  My light has a large lip at the top but boy was it stuck on all the way around.  Thanks again.  BTW, break light filament was broken.  Problem solved.

Yeah, it doesn’t take much. Just pops off from the bottom.
