I don't think the T4/T5 was used behind anything but AMC engines and no one I'm aware of makes an adapter to GM bellhousing. You are also going to run into rear drive shaft length problems. The T5 15.25" length plus the D300, which is about 1.5 to 2" longer than the D18 depending on what versions are compared, would leave you with a rear drive shaft with no tubing, just spines and yokes. With the high rear output D300, I don't even think a Tom Woods shaft will work without lengthening the wheelbase. And we would still need to add the length of that custom adapter.
For a transmission whose strength may not even be as strong as a T90, it just isn't worth the expense/effort. And why no one makes an adapter.

My son had a '84 CJ-7 with T5. I really liked that transmission in it. (but it had a weak reputation). We swapped it out for NP435 when also swapping in 360 V8. If yours has been upgraded, then durability might not be an issue?
That thing is LONG though, hopefully your '2A is more than "slightly" lengthened. Sorry I did not help with adaptability to 225, but if it fits, sounds like a good combination.

If your T5 has a normal GM bolt pattern it should be easy enough to find a bell housing to mount it behind a 225.
Beyond that I don't know but it sounds like it could be a nice set up.

Several years ago I had the T5 from my CJ8 Scrambler professionally rebuilt and upgraded by a racing transmission shop. It performed flawlessly behind my 258 and handled my Dana 44 axles and 35x12.50 tires. When I did the LS swap with automatic overdrive I saved the T5 for a future project.
We have a 47 CJ2A on a slightly stretched early CJ5 frame (225 odd fire/T90/18) with Wagoneer Dana 44’s, 5.38 gears, lockers and 35x12.50 tires. I think the T5 and a Dana 300 with 4.1 would be a great setup for the flatfender and not too long. Crawl ratio would be in the high 80’s and the 5th gear overdrive would make it more road friendly. I have done quite a bit of searching on this but cannot find anyone running a T5 behind the 225. Does anyone have any experience with this swap?
