That is the lock bolt for the flux capacitor venturi bearing. Smile   It was just always there.  It plugs a hole.

It's alive!!  It started immediately and seems to be running just fine in the garage.  Just a few bugs/leaks which I have mostly fixed already.  Word to the wise... I had leaks from the thermostat housing, the fuel pump flange, and the carburetor bowl cover.  Turns out none of them were flat.  I sanded the flanges flat and very carefully straightened the carb bowl cover in a press. I also had an oil leak from the side cover vent because the PVC baffle screen slipped off center and wasn't sealing properly against the gasket.  It's got good oil pressure, running at 160 degrees and no weird noises.  I'm declaring a successful rebuild.

What are the square receptacles in the rockers used for?

Looks very nice, my compliments. Except for one thing that sticks out like a sore thumb. Guess what it is.

Can’t see the alternator. Anybody who knows me will definitely know that it’s not mine by this item.

Bubba welded square tube and bolted to the frame to replace the rusted sub floor braces.  And the body seems to be lifted a bit.  It has longer front leaf springs with different mounts.   I took off the side steps and so the square tube makes good rock sliders now.
