Thank you and you’re welcome! I normally don’t like to make videos that long (because I don’t like to watch long videos) haha! But I wanted to try to cover everything so someone could follow along and install one themselves.

The Dana 25/27 video is a no nonsense 3 minute nothing but the key points kinda video. I’ll share that in this post shortly.

Really? Which part?

Less money isn't a "negative" in my world.
KW has notoriously inflated prices, no surprise there.
You can pay the extra $150 if it makes you happy.

Neither is calling out a brand name and country of manufacture. Google it.
The video shows the label.

What's negative about an informed purchase?
Isn't that part of what this forum is for? or against?

Maybe lighten up some?

The video is straight forward and well done.
Thanks for that.

Hey Seth,
Great video! I’ve had a rear locker sitting on my workbench for a month but hesitated to get started. I dread Steps 1 through 15 more than the locker install. Thanks very much for the clear explanation and tips.
Merry Christmas,
Rod

Hey Rod! Yeah getting the carrier out is definitely more work than the actual locker install. But it’s really not a bad job. Merry Christmas to you too! Can’t wait for spring! Hope to be jeeping with you again soon!

Great video as usual.   You keep it to the point, and fun at times.  I liked your head popping out from under the Jeep when describing diff types. Big smile

Concerning diff types,  would there not be basically 4 diff types?  1)Open, 2)limited, 3)auto-locker, 4)selectable locker.    All with their compromises.

Did you have to use Wilson for as demo of limited-slip fail?  LOL   You are definitely right though,  in those situations, it does not work as well as locker.

Thanks Ron, haha it was the only video I had on my phone that fit the part haha! As far as the diff types go… I didn’t mention selectable lockers simply for the fact that they aren’t available for stock 10-spline axles. This video was geared towards the stock flatfender owner.

I am actually kinda honored Wilson made your video.  Smile

Oh yeah,  did not even think about fact that this was for 10 spline.   Good point!

Ron, yeah that was a really tough hill. We all struggled on it. You and Wilson made it up first! Is your rear axle a 19 or 30 spline 44?

.
It is 30-spline flanged axle from '74 CJ-5

This required a different xfer case because it is centered,  a Dana 300 in my case.
