I have a warn and you can just see the detent plug. I should be able to get in there and pull it, inspect to see if its something with that. I cant remember if it was adjustable before the rebuild. maybe i have some old pictures some where |

Probably no need to take it clear out. Just loosen it some and see if it helps.
