Walcks advertises they make harnesses in house (Pennsylvania). Kaiser-Willys advertises "Made in USA" but doesn't say who makes it. If you call and ask, I bet they won't tell you. It costs more to pay the middleman. Harness built for turn signals costs more than one built without. Good luck!

From reading the post on here, seems like most guys go with Walcks on the CJ2A Willy’s. I have used Painless on a couple of Rods, was very satisfied. Every wire was thoroughly stamp printed with where it went. Has a fuse box . However, I did three Rods in the past, I get dizzy now laying upside down, I think I’m properly hosed on dealing with under my fixed dash, probably gotta find a young Buck who knows his way around wiring your Rod. That being said, I’m deflated! Lol.

Depends on what you want. If you want modern wire AND a fuse box for some reason, go with the Painless, etc.
If you want the proper 'look' of cloth covered wire and woven loom with the dependability of modern wire and terminated ends and already 'engineered' fit and installation instructions go with Walck's. Easy and painless.....with a lower case 'P'. |

Sounds like WAL is the way to go. Now I have to find a way to get the gauges wired. Laying upside down is someone I used to know!😝🥺

Pennzoil 10-30 always worked for me, I run the high mileage. You might want to add a can of zddp with each oil change, some folks like it, some don’t.

10w-30 is called for as a choice in the 1958 service manual. You might look at Lucas Hot Rod and Classic oil. It has 2100ppm of ZDDP It is about the same price as a quality oil with the addition of ZDDP. All nicely preformulated for older engines. If you buy a $99 worth of stuff from Summit racing they have free shipping. It sells for $43.49 for 5 qts. |

Cracks me up. We talk about paying $9 bucks for a quart of oil like it's normal. There I go again --- talking oil in a wiring topic.
