Sorry for your loss. Every time I get into an old Jeep I remember some long ago hunting trip with my father. It is cool you have this picture, of your dad with a smile on his face, bringing a nice buck back to camp.
If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

A couple things I like in that picture. The deer in the back, the coffee mug on the hood and oh yeah, the big grin your Dad is sporting. So three things.
Do you still have the jeep?

Oh yeah, I drove it to his funeral last week and then took it up in the mountains to spread his ashes in our elk hunting area

My condolences.  I too remember a few hunting trips with my father, all involving the 57 FC 150.  The 2A was gone before I was invited to traipse the woods with him even before I could get a hunting license.  I never found a single photo of any of that after going through the collection after he passed away.

My dad hunted out of little Willy for about 30 years before he finally bought himself a new 4 door rubicon a few years ago. Mostly in the same area here in WA state but he even hauled it to Colorado for a few elk hunts. It has sat in storage for the past few years but I put a new battery and a new hose from the fuel pump to the carb as it started leaking and it fired up and ran like a top. I have mine now that I’ve shared on here and you guys have helped me get figure out how to fix and get running so little Willy will be passed down to my sister

Sorry for your loss.
My 2A was my Dad's. I've known it for about 65 years.

65 years is too short Cry . . but sounds like he packed a lot of great times into it. Clap

So cool that you have his '2A to keep as a memory.

Old jeeps and hunting…they just go together.  Many of us started our love for the Willys on a hunting trip.  Condolences for your loss.
