i thought someone might like to watch in on mine and my cousins jeep rebuilds. we are doing frame off rebuilds on a 47 cj2a(thats mine) and a 51 cj3a(thats his). we have only just started but i will try to post pics of any major changes as we progress. up till now it has be alot of tear down and mud and grease scraping. we have already rebuilt his engine, mines the one on the engine stand we built(donated from tractor supply). my frame is on the left, its coated with por15, and his frame will be in a couple days. both jeeps have the original running gear. we both plan on staying as close to stock as possible, except for 2.5 in lifts and 32 in tires and a warn overdrive

my jeep is coming along a little faster than my cousins(his girlfriend just had a baby girl). this is my engine on the tractor supply stand. and the other pic is of my jeep, por15 frame, with the 2.5 inch rancho lift, and the engine tranny and t-case in. still have a long way to go. i cant wait to do the body work, hopefully some of the guys on this forum will sell me some of the sweet repro body panels ive seen on here. let us know what you think. thanks

this is how the po really boogered up my bellhousing. that is keeping me from bolting up the tranny and t-case, and putting the driveshafts in.

i thought herms dual master bracket was a little pricey, so i made my own.  it ended up costing me about $6.

Great looking work. The Arvin heater was available through many places, I've seen them on all kinds of things (trucks, tractors, cranes, bulldozers, and of course Jeeps) I think they were less expensive than buying the Harrison from the dealer.

well, here lately i guess i have had a lack of motivation, its probably the 95 degree weather and humidity. so i got my new tires mounted and balanced and  put on.  got a really good deal from the local 4 wheel parts wholesalers store, at their grand opening. so heres a few pics. also, a huge thanks to my45mutt for the seat frames he sold me and for the abundance of knowledge on this site. the tub and fenders still need a huge amount of body work, but i just had to see what it would look like(you know, for inspiration purposes)

I like it. wish my tub was anywhere near that. probably the reason I will be getting a replacement tub.
