Would love to find a copy of  your video.  Any chance your or Fred might have some copies available? Still the best collections of films.

I'm pretty sure that the lift shown is a Love, based on the "J" hook configuration of the link between the lift arm and the implement arms.  That was one of the few things, along with the pump style (from belt driven to crank driven) and control valve (from dash mounted to between the seats lever) that Newgren made.  I'll see if I can dig up the photo with a plow on that same Jeep (distinctive dent below the spare tire mount).

Daron,
I owned a copy when it was first released, but loaned it to someone and it was never returned.  It is an important part of Jeep history and I would love to have copy.  I'm sure others here would too.

The Love lift never used the J hooks. The J hooks were an early design for Newgren, shortly after acquiring the rights to Love.....

I will have to dig, but I have pictures of Charles Sorenson, at the farm, proudly displaying a Love and an early Newgren on the back of  2A, for experimentation purposes.....

The Love lifts used a shackle type setup to connect, and lift the arms....

Thanks for correcting me!  Now I just have to find all the places I've posted incorrect info.  I would appreciate any other information you might have about the early changes and who might have engineered those.

This photo from September 1946 "Sales News" published by WO is one example of what led me to believe that that the "J" was a Love design, i.e. pre-Newgren.  There is clearly more to the story

I have always thought that the "J" Love lift seen at Cesor Farms was really the original Newgren, just waiting for the name to be changed from Love to Newgren shortly after. Designed by Love for the Jeep and approved by Willys.

The real "Love" lift has the shackle arms and was sold by JB Love through his business, the Love Tractor & Sprayer Co. Not approved for Jeeps by Willys.
