Found a guy wanting to sell his jeep and gave him a call.  From what he decribed on the phone vs. what he finally sent in pictures is pretty amazing!  What do you guys think is a fair to low offer for this.  It's located in Larned KS, so if anyone wants to take a crack at it, I'll pass along the information.  Thanks,  Arick

I'm checking with him on the things mentioned, I will send contact info if its OK with him.  He did also say he has a motor and transmission hanging in the barn...does this qualify as a barn find?  He will sell it as well.

Now that I look at it, that could very well be the L134 of Christmas past!

The owner has sent the following #'s.

I got the numbers of firewall plates, they are C12A 18533 and C12A BOD 176015, the Id. number on title is J198652, I looked but couldn't find the other 2 numbers. the body has one dent on the right rear corner that could be hammered out easily only one of the rear wheel wells is rusted through on top a little, not that big of a deal, it would clean up nice with a power washer or sand blaster, apparently it was originally a maroon color or maybe that is primer??? Dad did not paint itIt ran good when I last drove it, we took it to  Colorado on mountain trails about the last time we used it, had to take it off trailer to pull pick-up and trailer up the mountain!!!!! You  find a buyer and you can have the screeen  !!!!  Thannks John

Allen, he also describes the disc you were asking about:

the disc isn't 3 pt' and it doesn't do a  good job, no one would want it, it sucks, I just use it to work up my road around my field then  follow up with my speed mover. II'm going to go out and take some more pictures of the jeep and I will look for some of the other things you wanted to know in a little while when the sun comes out

he's missing a digit on that first # should be CJ2A 18533? then the BOD should be BODY 176015 which would make the title # of J198652 correct for the engine #

Looks to be a 1948 just after they switched back from making the drivers side spare.

Interesting!

if he was selling along with the willys a newer truck it might be worth 5000 since the willys looks like its worth around 1000buck or less and a decent 4wd truck with miles less than 100,000mi would make up for the other 4000bucks.

I bought my 46 CJ2A and 48 CJ2A for $500 each - and they are both in much, much better shape.  If the seat frames are good, I would be interested in them.
