geo tracker brake conversion with s10 flex line

question for you guys that are doing the geo tracker brake conversion i am using the s10 brake flexible brake line and it looks to be to tight was wondering if anyone took off the bracket on top of the steering knuckle that the old S line connected to in order to get more line clearance

I was in the same spot a few weeks ago and ended up removing them.  No issues so far.

I was thinking you were referring to the shield that sits on top of the knuckle.  That is the piece that I removed.  Kept the bracket on the axle tube like the picture above.

I forgot about that shield that bolted down and that was in the way for me. Bracket i'm using, I twisted to get the right angle.

thanks guys i will remove it and bend the bracket

scratch here is the link that has both the chevy and the tracker conversion i got alot of info from it


i got the brackets from brennans garage he has lots of info also

Can some that has done this swap give me the size of the wheel studs they used or a part number. this is the last item I need before I do the swap

i didnt use a press i just hammered them in they went in easy i made sure when i removed the old ones i cut the sedge off so the cam out easy

I've gotten almost all the parts for my front and rear disc brake track/kick conversion, but I'm not sure what lug studs I should use.  From my research online, I've seen these part numbers, and I'm not sure which ones to use:
Dorman 610-036-1
Dorman 610-219
Dorman 610-106
Napa 641-1112

I'm putting this on '65 CJ5 axles.  D27 front and D44 rear.  Probably using 15" wheels.  I'll use spacers if I need to, but I may be using different wheels at some point as well.

Any input?

I used Dorman studs 610-260  1 13/16 long knurled area is .618 These are  stock 16" wheels and no spacers. You can see how much thread is left
