There’s a reason the box says (this side up) , when the tube is sitting on its side it can develop an air bubble the length of the tube and when used will cause the gun to loose prime randomly. The best way to store them is on end with the aluminum pull tab down.
A better quality grease gun is nice though, on average they leak less and the lock for the piston is made better.

Good point!   Never thought of that......

Have to agree on the 20v dewalt grease gun. Don’t know why I didn’t buy one when they were first available.

Thanks 48 willys, keep it simple stupid(kiss) I had started hanging the grease gun upside down and it seemed to work better, haven't thought about tube storage. We are in the process of moving back to Colorado so in the new shop this will be on the list . thanks

thanks for the tube storage tip. that is big.

i am going to give the milwaukee M12 version a try. about $150 as opposed to $230 ish for M18. in addition to M18 tools, i also have some M12 and batteries.

will post when tested whether it is any good. ordered locknlube XL also to put on it. stay tuned.

Looks a good way to go since you already have batteries. Will be interesting to see how it works out. I have an M12 inspection scope that I seldom use, may look for a grease gun to go with it. The reviews look really good.
