That is affirmative my old friend. Never seen a 4A up close, but the glass heights for the 2A and 3A are different...as is the mounting distance from the glass. The reproductions out there are for a 2A. You must ad material to the arm to make a 3A version.

The 2A is the same length center to center as the MB (663648 and A-3748 at 6.25 inches)
Didn't the CJ3A have bottom mounter wipers, and the CJ4A had top mounted wipers, and I'm not aware if there was a manual option.

Nor have I, Hawk, but the story is the 4A is slightly lower in the food chain than the M38-the uncontested "king of the flatfenders".

Well, poo....
. . (pic "borrowed" from Sean, here ---> Link ) Does anyone know how the fixture that actually accepts the wiper is attached to the arm? That looks correct except the length of the arm itself? Edited by mbullism - 12 May 2022 at 12:04am |

Thanks, Keith... I get the split rivet to the blade. I'm wondering about how clip 17451 is fixed to the arm itself. I have this wiper on my 2A but cannot tell if it's swaged, crimped, soldered, etc
Athawk11 alluded to adding length to the repop, I'm wondering what would be involved in shortening one
