In the final design before starting construction. I am going a wee bit nuts trying to figure out how to do the doors and especially the windows. The doors will be as they say suicide doors with a straight HD Aluminum Piano style hinge. I want to use windows close to the size of those in the later Konieg tops. As such being able to "roll down" just isn't going to work. I'm the kind of guy that really likes to have the drivers window down and my arm on the sill. So trying to figure out how to have my cake and eat it to is driving me slightly nuts. I have come up with about one way to do this. That being a removable window. To this end I have been looking at using 1/4" T scratch resistant Lexan. I have figured out a quick way to lock the window into place. That can be done I think while inside with the door shut. I'd like to maybe be able to lower the window at least half way down while still in place. Still working out details. Anyone got any magic ideas to help me figure this problem out.

Years ago for the YJ they had aftermarket doors with sliders so yo could have it half way open but rolling down would be a challenge now with just a frame capturing the Lexan you could have spring loaded pins for different openings - otherwise you best bet is something from a bone yard but you in for a big adventure
