Tried a flange tool for this side piece.  I haven't decided whether I'm going to go back and weld it or just glass it.

The corner piece took a few tries, but finally got it.  Lotsa work from the shrinker and stretcher.  Neat little tool.

There are a lot of holes in the lip and support piece, so it looks like I'm going to have to make them as well.

I was able to find some time to work on the toolbox.  This was a tough one.  Every single edge was gone.

I was lucky enough to find a donor piece for the lip.  That would have been a nightmare to make.

You'll notice I didn't spend anytime grinding the underneath!

Ta Dah!

Hard to tell.  This time of year I have to rely on consecutive rainy days.  Next up is finishing the tub up and sending it to sandblast.  It should take a couple of days to do that.  I have a couple of little things to do to finish the fender and tailgate.  Other than that, all body and paint, then hood and windshield.

I had a chance to finish up the passenger fender yesterday.  I just added the pictures to the earlier post where I was working on it before the toolbox.  That means metal work on front end done!  Next up is finish tub, fix fuel tank or finish tailgate.  getting so close I can smell the bondo!

My brother wondered why I didn't just order up a new tub for my 3B instead of spending weeks out bending metal and welding. In all aspects it is my Jeep. Sort of like having an animal companion that you have cared for over the years and loves you but our companions are made of metal.
Carry on.

Also, the pieces you make will be multiple times better than any foreign made piece you can buy, plus still look original !

I finally had a little time to start fitting the toolbox.

I ended up having to slide the box forward about 1/2 inch to make the seat fit.

I like the way you say that so casually, as though it's no big deal.  "Oh yeah, happens every day.  Yadda, yadda, yadda."  Big smile

Better to find out now than after I have it welded in and painted.  That would be a nightmare !!  Much easier to redo a couple of pieces.  Just wish I could figure out what is wrong.  I took every measurement imaginable from an original tub and the box matches it perfectly, and seat matches it perfectly, just doesn't fit without moving the box forward.  Oh well, hopefully I'll get some time next week to get it welded in and finish the metalwork on the tub and get it to the sandblaster.
