Still works for me, but maybe it because my photo is of the attic not the basement.
But seriously, it took 3 tries, then worked.

That's the basement? unless it is a walkout basement I highly recommend that you take each assembly out to the garage as you finish it. Carrying an entirely assembled Jeep up the basement stairs is well, not adviseable. Been There, Done That.
With your screen name I would have expected an obligatory stack of tires in the picture somewhere. Edited by Joe Friday - 06 Dec. 2022 at 5:15pm |

Failed engineering process. Didn’t have a pull gauge for the front axle breakaway tension. So I thought that I could calculate with a gallon jug, and a long spring.
I found the weight of a gallon of water online, measured out my pull on the spring, marked it with a bolt on all thread. I got close the the correct break away but the backwards thinker made it too tight. That being said the fishing gauge was $5. I even tried to convince Joe Friday of the merits of this process. |

Heck, I was thirty years old before I ever knew you could get parts in boxes. That method is good enough for government work. It ain't rocket science.

Tight wound coils to the top as you have them. So, you got it right.
