Went for the first time this morning. It was excellent.  With the locker in the back there were no traction issues at all.  I did skip the giant mud pit since I don't have a winch. The trail was a mix of rocks logs and a rutted pit with some good climbs and descents.  I was definitely a bit nervous rolling around without a cage.

Awesome stuff guys! I'm sure some of the lurkers on this page are totally digging this! I drove mine all day today. Nothing off road. I'm only running front brakes right now so mine isn't going to see a lot of off road. As soon as my rear is done.. It's on!

44MB, but has more in common with a 2A than a GPW.

What's that canister on the grill?  And I like the mounting of the gas can behind the fender there, I may do that for some long trips!  Does it make getting in and out any more difficult?

Water-Can on the side, gas can on the back and overflow tank on the grill.

Wheel my Cj 2a quite a bit, and have to say the recent Lock Right made him a brand new crawler. Climbs things the late models were having trouble on. Someday I will take pictures.

Not anything hard just putting around. Without rear brakes I stay off the rocks and hills.

Ok folks

All you hardcore off road guys ...do any of you guys have roll over protection on your Willys Jeeps???...they don't all seem that steady on those narrow trails....especially in stock form...just wondering out loud that's all.

Good question Mikec. Before our first trip to Moab, built a 6 point cage, made of 1 1/2" hrew steel, because that's the size die I have for my bender. Also suspension seats with Crow seat belts. Hope we never need to test it.
