I have a couple Jeeps I want to get titled. I got them about 10 years ago as parts Jeeps with no titles and one of them, no bill of sale either. I think one had plates, but I don't know where they are now. One is a 46 CJ2A and one is a 43 GPW.
What are the steps I'm going to need to do to get them legal to drive on the road?

Few years back I had a motorcycle with out a title. Had a county cop fill out a form verifying the id number.(cant remember that form number), sent it in with a MV1 form. Took a couple of weeks.Might want to get going on this as the registration fees go up about a $100.00 October 1st.

I realize you do not have a bill of sale, but check out the Vermont bill of sale - title process:
https://dmv.vermont.gov/tax-title/vehicle-title It is going to be tough to get a title without some sort of documentation. Call your local DMV and see what they will do to help. |

I'm sure WI has a DMV website you could check as well.

All states are different. In VA we can go thru a "abandoned vehicle" process. It takes a couple months or more, but no bill of sale or title is required. I got a '3A title this way.

My suggestion (and I did this) is to find a friend on this website and in a state that will easily get a title for the Jeeps. Have him title it in his name and then transfer the title to you. Cost is a 6 pack to $200! Depending on your friend. Had to get mine titled in Oklahoma and then got it transferred into my name and got a Texas title. It’s a real PIA but some states are easier to work with.
