Just looking to find out what type of hubs I've got and what they should look like all prettied up
There isnt a brand on it that I've spotted, just the labeled unlock and lock positions, the middle peice seems like a faded red plastic

They look like some version of a Warn hub, this discussion has some good information about that style hub.

From what I read it seems like a warn design produced by dualmatic.... it seems to be from the 70s... might fish for something a little more era correct later down the line

They don't look like any Warn hubs I have seen, but that doesn't mean much I ain't seen everything.
Not sure what you have in mind about "period correct". You have built your Jeep to look Military, and the more correct look for that would be the stock drive flanges. If you simply mean hubs that were available in the early years of the civilian Jeep, yours fit that bill, as would Warn, Selecto, or Dualamatics. I bought a pair of Warn hubs at the Willys Reunion in Fulton which are going on my CJ2A. Several people had them for sale at the swap meet from $100 - $150 a pair, which gives an idea of what they go for. The hubs coming off the 2A are more modern "Rugged Ridge" brand which are similar to the Mile Marker hubs. They seem to work good, and I painted them OD to match my 2A, but it is the Korean War / Vietnam OD which is darker than the paint on your Jeep. If your Jeep has the later axles without the threaded ends these would work. If you want them PM me, they won't cost you much.

If you can't get there in a Jeep you don't need to be there!

Here is a better picture of the hub
I dont remember if they are threaded axles, I know they had that large thin nut on them if that's what you are referring too, but i thing not. Hmmm Edited by General Eisenhower - 07 Nov. 2021 at 5:28pm |
