*** POLL IS OVER! ***

Plugs are available now.  See the "For Sale" section.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Remember these?

I am trying to gauge interest in how many of you would be interested in buying at least 5 (for the engine block) to determine what kind of quantity & price to shoot for.  This is preliminary only.  Final cost & type will depend on interest, if there's enough of it.

Originals were steel (perhaps zinc plated, I don't know), but majority preference will be important.

EDIT #1: to clarify, since the "Poll question" isn't obvious, the "Cost" choice is for Quantity 5  (total needed for the engine block).

EDIT #2: if by chance you'd be interested in multiple "5-packs", vote as many times as 5-packs you'd want! (that's what I need to know to gauge quantity)

The forum "Poll" function doesn't allow much flexibility, and I'm combining 2 question in 1 poll, so please choose ONLY 1 "type", and ONLY 1 "cost" (regardless of which type for now).  As info comes in, I will get more specific.

Incidentally, the same plug was used in the end of the steering box, and also in the Monarch governor.  Although I'm not including them in this poll, they would be available if you needed them.

If anyone still has an original Hubbard plug, removed from their engine, let me know how thick it is please!

Sean

Sean,

Is the price per each or for a lot of 5?

Sam:

Price is for Qty 5.  See the "Poll question" heading. Wink  I had to squeeze it all into limited space, so couldn't word it the way I wanted.

I'm like the newbies that don't read the "Read this before posting an item for sale".    I don't even remember reading the actual poll questions before looking at the selections.  Embarrassed

Sean, I've never created a poll on this forum so I'm not familiar with the options. I do know some forums allow polls to be set up so voters can choose more than one.

With all that said. When I voted it only let me choose one so I voted again to give my input on style as well as cost. Not sure if I did what I'm supposed to or the poll is not working right?

That's odd.  It IS set up to allow multiple choices, and I don't think anyone else has had a problem so far.

No matter, as long as you've got your picks in, that's what counts.  Thanks!

In my second round of voting, I had to vote separately for the style and then again  for the price.

Don't know how to work the poll but no matter. You're about a month or so too late for my block as the machinist punched in some generic plugs and I'm not about to change them out now. Too bad as I would have sprung for the copies just because they were available.

Anyway good luck on your correct style plugs. They'll be nice for anyone buiding their engines in the future.

1st. time allowed multiple-choice, but 2nd. time didn't?  Weird, probably another forum software bug.

No matter, as long as you make both choices w/2 votes, I get the picture.

Sorry Allen!

I wish it had been sooner too.

I had the shop do an "extra special" (and extra cost) cleaning w/the original plugs intact.  Would have preferred to remove them, but didn't want to lose the logo.

Hey, buy a set & glue them on top of the generics! LOL

Sean

PS, did you happen to save the originals?

Yep, every little piece, no matter how insignificant!

I need to specify how thick to make 'em.  I might have to pull one & measure it.
