Here's what I did for a CJ 2a interior rear-view mirror bracket:
I bought a mirror bracket for a CJ 3a, which was available from willysjeepparts.com: It is the same general shape as one for a CJ 2a, but has two holes for mounting it on the windshield frame (instead of one) and no flange accross the top (to keep it from twisting on the windshield frame). I drilled a hole right between the two original holes and had my friend weld the two holes closed. My friend also welded a flange accross the top of the bracket. Then I painted the bracket black. Voila! A CJ 2a inside rear-view mirror bracket. I hope I described this well. Let me know if you have any questions. Roy Bob. |
