Has anyone ever seen or found the instruments for a CJ2A or other early CJ model with internal lighting?
Of course we all know that the OEM configuration was a single post light mounted above them. I am aware of the M38 lighting as I have one but was wondering if anyone has participated in adding internal night lighting to the OEM gages as I would like to retain the original look. You can certainly replace the stock Gage's with Stewart Warner, VDO or other like replacements that are illuminated with an internal bulb, that is your choice, will not hurt anything other than a purist's opinion

SW Classic and Deluxe gauges are pretty dang close to OEM Willys for looks once you paint the bezels black. Your not going to find a Speedo with 60 or 70 as the top speed. But if you search eBay for 6 months Like I did you can get a NOS SW 80mph speedo and pay a bunch of money Like I did.

It's sometimes fun to just tweak the Jeep police. Anybody says anything, tell 'em it came that way from the army! |
