Anyone know anything about Gear Grind Detroit? From the little info I can find online, it was started by Alfred H. Rzeppa. I seem to have an axle made by Gear Grind in my 1947 CJ2A. When I opened up the steering knuckle I found the Rzeppa joint sitting in this grey mess. Later, when cleaned up I noticed the Gear Grind brand. This knuckle is actually too big to fit through the spindle hole. I had to take the knuckle off to get it out.

Rebuilding my CJ2A axle I found a similar joint in one side.

Fun fact, though most probably already know; Rzeppa is pronounced "cheppa."

Of all the names they could have chosen their gear company, they chose Gear Grind?
