Some light progress today with some home made floor mats and a good shakedown run checking for things comming loose or rattles and how my trans fix will hold, so far so good.                                           So being a light day I also tore down the RAMSY winch for inspection

One thing I always had problems with on my first Jeep was the bolts holding the front fenders to the frame.  I'd put some bolts in, drive it for a month or so, and need to put some bolts in again.  I should have used some safety wire for those... lock washers didn't do anything.  I decided I don't need them on Ol' Unreliable, since the hat channel is missing in that area anyway.  Smile
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

So a little progress on the jeep with painting up the rims today, I had to wait until the guy that mixes the paint was back from a holiday since there was no one else that could mix the paint, that's ok because I have been out driving her everywhere .

This is a great inspiration for me, thank you for sharing the info and photos. I'm still gathering parts for mine and need to bring it back East once I get a place with a shop, but I'm hoping to follow your example soon.

Wheels are now all mounted up including my spare tire, I still have lots to do but for the most part that can wait until the weather turns bad.

A large part of my build was done out in the driveway on nicer days and small stuff in the shop, I would love to have a large shop of some sort so I can have space to tear down projects and not worry about getting everything back inside for the night.

The body-color wheels really make it for me with Pasture Green jeeps. Nice resto!

Ok so the weather was not so good for driving them jeeps so I started with installing the Harrison heater, the heater I have is one from a Chev truck from what I understand with a defrost blower fan so instead of just cooking your toes I can direct the heat to the windows and also have the ability to control the heat to the driver or passenger, so I still need to fab a window defuser and finish the wiring for the heater switches, I am installing two switches one for the heat and the second one is for the defrost fan, if you look back in the post you can see I installed two fan motors because I was having a hard time finding a 6v motor with a two ended shaft and I had two 6v fan motors, so by having two fan motors and two fan control switches I have the ability to run just heat or just defrost.

Looks great!

If you don't mind, do you have the paint code and where you got it from?  I want to do mine Pasture Green with the Autumn Yellow wheels.  Thanks!
