It was ordered in late February and arrived today... aside from one or possibly two minor mistakes with my options, I'm happy. Now the fun begins with living amenities installation.

Is that 20'? Looks like a nice one. I've been threatening to buy one for awhile. Mine will need to fit my '63 Nova, as well as the Willys.

Nice, you will enjoy that and it will never lose much value. The good used ones are hard to find and sell quick. I have a 20 footer and don't know how I ever got along without it.
A word of warning though, you may have a lot of new best friends that need something hauled. I've hauled a lot more furniture in mine than jeeps!! |

24 foot plus the vee. Normally it would have a dovetail drop in the floor at the back, but I had them make the whole floor flat for camper use when the jeep is out.

Amen brother. I experienced that with a previously owned 14' cargo that I used for awhile as a tool hauler for a construction business.

I built a tall narrow cabinet today to go against the wall and provide a space for the electric components. Solar charged 12 volt system for lights and water pump, shore power 120 volt for the ac.
Oh my gosh! 1x12 poplar board is $8.65 a running foot, 3/8 plywood $46.00 a sheet. Unbelievable!

Did you order your trailer with insulation installed? The reason I asked, when I bought my trailer it was not insulated, just the wood veneer on the sides, nothing on the top. I put in shelves and some fixtures then had to take everything back out when i decided to put in 1" of pink panther on the sides and top, windows in the sides and 2 vents on the top. It was like a completely different trailer after it was insulated. I feel your pain on that lumber, I've just about quit building anything unless I can build it out of the material I already have. course I'm something of a pack rat so I have some stacked up!

I wish I had some stashed away but I've been on a mission to clean out. Sold all my `55 & `56 cars and most of the parts... I'm down to a few front fenders. All my left over building materials from house restoration and remodelling went away about 8 months ago. I'm hoping to trade my old Ford tractor for cabinet work.
I'm all in on old Willys and that's staying till I give out. I ordered the trailer without insulation because I knew I'd be pulling interior walls to install wiring and a little plumbing and I'm putting in the 1" pink foam board like you did. That's not cheap either, almost $20.00 a sheet.

Hi oldscot3 congrats! I've been looking for a used trailer all year to do the same thing hoping to have my better half go with me to Willy's events. (She's not keen on sleeping in the bed of the pickup.) Most of What I've seen has been beat so I'll probably end up buying new. Thinking 16 or 20ft. I'll be watching with great interest to see how you set yours up. Please keep us posted!
Thanks! Barry

That leaves 14' to turn into living quarters, tool and spare parts storage, ect. Perfect for traveling to Jeep events. Love it! Can't wait to get started on mine.

That's the plan exactly. Here's a shot of the electric systems going in the cabinet I built. Basically the components to the left are for the solar charged 12v portion; the panel to the right is for the shore power/generator powered portion. HVAC will be 120v, everything else 12v. |

BTW - This is a jeep related project, but obviously not a jeep. I wonder if I have this thread posted in the correct location?
