Barney....(Roos) or North....(John)

A friend had a black lab named CJ also...that's a good one.

The Today Show's mascot / service dog was Wrangler.

We had a cat I named CJ. Like our JEEPs, she left her mark everywhere. We didn't keep her long. Won't stand for an animal "going" where they aren't supposed to. I expect from my JEEP, though.

Lol, Barney or Eugene for a girl might be a tough sell with the fam LOL... "north" is gonna get kardashian kickback from one of my kids, no doubt Wink.  Rambler and Wheeler are solid two syllable names, I just think CJ is more recognizable as jeep specific.  (I've got til saturday if this goes through)

Yeah I probably read the female part but it didn't register.

I'd go with CJ . It's not real original but it's a good one....and it's easy to yell, that's important.

We had an Airedale we called Jeep.  That was confusing at times.  Jeep, jump in to the Jeep.  Clarifying to others as to which Jeep we were talking about.
64CJ5 "Eeyore"
01TJ "Tigger"
52 M38 Severely demilitarized, "Popeye" The Coast Guard Jeep.
14 JK "Jake"

Rubicon. To (no doubt) be shortened to Ruby.

No doubt, lol... and the "jeep" confusion is well taken.  My wife at one point offered "Lilly" (which I hate, but no matter).  Through work and home I have four "Billy's" that come up in conversation in my house... Lilly wasn't gonna fly even if I liked it.  It's confusing enough as it is Confused

The Rubicon/Ruby thing was debated... Rubicon was liked but too many syllables.  Ruby wasn't understood as "jeep" without the explanation.  Heck, Juneau only made the cut because it has family significance back to Juneau, AK... Juno wouldn't make the cut.

If you want a two syllable name that is immediately jeep recognisable, then CJ it will have to be. I don't think your average Joe will know that "Dana" or "Spicer" were Jeep, so they are out. Wingnut, Tailgate and Windshield are just plain uncool. Bantam sounds too lightweight.

OK, so most of those suggestions were made in jest. Wink

Seriously, how about Willys, but pronounced "Willis" (as some people argue it should always be pronounced). Might be kinda cool for a female dog? And it meets both the 2 syllable and the very jeep rules.

Ha!... Willis sounds a touch "male", but Bantam has an outside shot Tongue (and ya, dana and spicer came up and down pretty quick)

you know how these things go... I have to offer this to my wife and two daughters.  They rarely agree amongst themselves, let alone agree with me...on anything LOL

Without a lot of details, the dog is a done deal.  Wife home sick today or we'd be picking up tonight, so tomorrow night as it stands.

The Mrs. was actually open to "Bantam".  In the end the choice is hers, I'm doing damage control, LOL.  The pup is 16 weeks with a pound name, so if we're going to change it I want to start right away so the decision will be made in the next 24 hours.

So much for "you have til saturday" Confused

Before we got our 46 2A, we got a cat and named him Willys. Our vet is a Jeep guy so he got it.
