Is everybody in and around that part of Missouri OK this morning?

Sounds like it got pretty rough last night.

local news around here is reporting no fatalities and 20 injuries, with some people still unaccounted for, others still trapped.  It will be great news if they make it through with no deaths...especially for a storm that late at night.

Three deaths in Golden City, Missouri because of a tornado. Golden City is just to the northeast of Joplin. tornado caused damage in Carl Junction just northwest of Joplin.

Lots and lots of rain in southeast Kansas which will drain south to the Arkansas River basin in Oklahoma. Rain in the forecast for everyday for the next week to ten days. All major rivers here are out of their banks. All reservoirs are at flood pool.
