    Posted: 04 Dec. 2020 at 5:35pm
I've had a request to list my restoration tools and parts that I make for Willys Jeep service and restoration. This is what I currently have to offer. I also have a bunch of unproven prototypes as well that I will add someday when I get a chance to prove them out as useful doodads... so check once and a while for updates.

12/11/2023 -- I've changed the part numbering format of my offerings to reflect the part that it deals with. The first part of the part number is the Willys part number as listed in the parts manual. A suffix of '-T' denotes it as a tool. A suffix of '-R' denotes that it's a refurbished original part. No suffix means that it's my own reproduction. I am not offering any NOS parts on this list.

Joe DeYoung's tool and parts list as of Dec 11, 2023

Note: if you need something not on the list, ask and I’ll consider making it.

Although I only have a few of the items on the list, the stuff I do have is well engineered and very well made.

I wrote a post about the steering wheel puller - https://www.farmjeep.com/how-do-you-remove-a-steering-wheel/   It is a great tool.  I'll update the list that is posted.

How about adding a Newgren control valve? Smile

Might you be able to post pics of your products? That might help in determining what people need.

Thanks!

Hello Joe, we want to replace the rear main seal on my Dad’s MB transfer case, is there a tool I could use to make the job easier? Forgive my ignorance but I have never done one before.. thanks!

Yes, #28 on my list... m18/20 output seal puller. Makes quick easy work getting the output seals out of the transfer case  and doesn't have the risk of damaging the bores that the seals press into. The puller can also be used to pull the pinion seals out of the differentials as well.

Note -The shift rail seal puller is a very nice compliment to the output seal puller. The shift rail seals can be very difficult to get out and this tool makes quick easy work of that as well.

I've thought about it Chris and agree it would be helpful but was concerned 28+ photos might be a bit much for one thread. I'm trying to get a web page together with pics and videos of how to use the tools in my spare time and then post a link to that. Unfortunately I do not have an over abundance of spare time.

You ought to make a wrench for adjusting the brakes. I have one but would love a spare and the originals seem to be getting scarce.

Are you talking about the 1/4" long handled wrench to turn the brake cam adjustment?  If so, I would love to have a tool like that.  The originals ARE scarce, I've been looking for one for a while.
