Today I called Joe to check in. I hadn't talked to him since October and now that the Jeeps out of the barn I was anxious to see if he'd been out yet.

His wife called me back a bit later and shared that Joe passed away.

Joe, wherever you are, I hope the sun is on your shoulders, the wind is in your hair, and a smile is on your face. Rest easy brother.

I had heard that here Cry... the more folks I don't meet that I wished I maybe had bolsters the realization how little time I have left, and how unimportant the classically pursued really is....

I realize this thread is 3 weeks old, but I've just come across it. Yes, this is sad news indeed. Joe shared a few tips with me on my build and me with him. It seems we were at similar stages of our projects for a while.

He seemed a very genuine and likeable guy and it is indeed a loss to the community.

Strange how I can feel a sense of loss for someone i've never met.
Countered only by the sense of community I feel on this forum, also through people I've never met.
