I made a deal with my son when we put him in the Wrangler, that if he drove it for a year without knocking anything off, we would see about swapping out some of the parts.  The year was up in the spring.  Since then we have put a 3" lift, Rubicon rock rails, and most recently Warn bumpers.
here is a picture.

Yes, I bought five.  We have had a mismatched spare on this jeep since we bought it a few years ago.  It is going to make for one expensive spareConfused

There IS only 1 tire to use on those....

GoodYear MT/R's with Kevlar......31's and 33's should be fairly easy to find in 16".....

thanks to keith buckley, i was able to put 5 GY/R's w/Kevlar in  35"/17's on mine....

I am thinking 33X10.5  The wheels are 17X8.5  What do you like about those tires?
I should also mention that being my son's Jeep, it is going to spend most of its time campus crawling for the next few yearsBig smile

the 33's will come 33 X 12.50-17    and will fit great on the 8.5" wide rims.... you might have to adjust the stering stops on the front, but that is easy enough to do....

the MTR's with Kevlar have a mean look, and aggressive off-raod capability, however, they ride smooth as a baby's butt on the road if mounted and balanced correctly.....

and you should see 50K + miles if rotated at least every 5K miles.....

Low, did you paint your wheels, or are those off of a Mountain edition?  What do you think of Goodyear Duratac tires?

I am not having much luck finding tires.  I am being told that the kevlar tires are discontinued, and the Duratracs are on backorder.  There is a very large tire store here that has drove all of the independent shops out of business, I will not deal with them because they are crooks.  I have had bad experiences with several other shops.  I can get them online, but then I don't know anyone I would let mount them.   I may have to leave town to buy tiresConfused

Doug, you might hate the price you will be quoted, but call Dave at AEV and explain that you are wanting the tires for AEV wheels.......he may have the tires you are wanting/needing, in stock, either in Montana, or Michigan......Mike

I ended up going with BFGs.  I am happy with the size, offset, etc.  I really like the way everything turned out.
