I have a NOS switch and end with the letters CE45H cast into the rear?  I cannot see that the key turns any contacts though.  Can anyone post a photo of just the switch from the rear?

brian, there should be 2 pins sticcking out the back side, opposite the key opening....those pins are what rotates and make contact on 2 of the 3 "bumps" on an inner plate installed in the coil body....

email me pics of your part, and i will be able to tell you if it is either a Hurd or a Towne & Hale for the CJ2A's....

Should you be able to replace a Hurd cylinder with a Yale cylinder on the coil? My tabs don't seem to line up quite right. Thanks

I've got a "new" Hurd cylinder with 2 keys if you are in need. Maybe a swap?

Thanks for the thought Hamhog, but I think I got it figured out.

Just picked up this NOS coil. Numbers on the mounting bracket are IG4314A (I believe the "A" is the difference of a Hurd vs. Yale cylinder?). Numbers stamped on the coil are IG 6V 4A (date of April '46).

Came with 2 brand new keys with the tag still attached, that matches the coil plate.
