Good video...I had taken apart and changed tstats on Lumpy many times over the years, always laid it on top of the head and put the housing on top of it, sealed it up. It wasn't until I did the resto about 20 yrs ago that I realized, barely visible thru the rust, was something....started digging at it, and eventually pulled out the remains of my original riser! Fun stuff!
