These are crown springs I got from Kaiser Willys. I can't testify to the performance but as you can se from the pic these DO have the military wrap. I have also purchased the Walcks springs. They are very good.

if you look closely at my pics where the spring attaches to the "C" shackle, you will see that the shackle goes through a loop hole in the top spring. The second spring is longer are wraps around the top spring loop hole. This way, if the loop in the top spring breaks, the second spring "wrap" will hold everything together temporarily.

I had been riding my jeep for a year and decided to replace my springs (with a lifted set).  I had no idea how trashed and stiff my M38 springs were until I had the new ones.  I'm sure a set of new springs will improve the ride regardless of the brand you choose.  I have heard good things about the crown springs from several purists.

They are Omix-Ada, a primary supplier for many MD Juan parts.  The two part numbers are visible in this photo...

The numbers printed like that on the product makes me feel better about ordering the product. Thanks for the picture. I have to drive 2.5 hours south to the boarder to pick them up in the US. I want the correct springs to be there!
With the shadow I can not make out if it comes with the bushing for the bolt installed in one end or do I need to order that as well?

The bushings didn't come with the springs. If your existing bushings are in good shape, you can drive them out of the old springs and install them in the new springs.

My bushings were shot. I replaced all of them.   Picked them up from Walcks.

I know this was a old post, but I don't think anyone really answered the question. The last post was in 2014,so has anyone put some time on the crown leaf springs,  or omix ada springs?  Getting ready to order replacement fronts and trying to figure out what brand to go with.

I just replaced my original shocks with correct Rancho shocks. On the front, there only appears to be only a couple of inches before the shock bottoms out. I suspect my leafs are shot. In looking at them, they are flat with no arch remaining. The clips are lose.

 

I'm trying to decide what is the best supplier.

 

For another car of mine, I purchased them from General Spring. I'm quite happy with them. In comparing their specs for the Jeep manual, they don't match and don't have the "military wrap." Also, they appear to use a rubber bushing. https://www.generalspringkc.com/product_p/97-302.htm I emailed them but got no response.

 

Omix has a set but I am concerned about their reputation. http://www.omix-ada.com/front-leaf-spring-8-leaf-41-53-willys-models.html

Finally, there is Crown. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/cwa-916056/overview/year/1947/make/jeep/model/willys
On the Crown and Omix, I can get free shipping. Omix is $73 and Crown is $122. General are $130 and I think shipping is not free.
 
I would appreciate some input. Are the Omix that bad to pay nearly twice the cost with the Crown?

The pale yellow Willys (my Wife's 3A) has the Omix set.  This 3A has been running around town for about a year now.  I really like the ride.  These are 10 leaf fronts and 9 leaf rears.

I liked them so much that I got another set for my green 3A.  This one has been off road several times since the installation. (3 years of driving.  6,000 miles)  They are performing just fine out on the trails too.  No sag or lean...yet.
