In the course of restoring my1948 left cj2a, tumbled upon a doubt as to whether the exhaust has to be routed to the right as commonly seen it would it be to the left?

It goes along the right untill you get over the rear end then it is up to the 12" muffler then out behind the right wheel

The only thing different on the Lefty was the position of the spare tire and the top bow brackets. all else remained the same.

Maybe this will help ya. These are pics of my mount in the wheel well area. Someone welded the hanger to mount but body mount "L" tab looks to be stock. Not positive it's original but here are the pics....
