Very Nice! I have a bunch of chainsaws and a road trip sounds fun. The aerial view of the irregular timber would suggest a creek bed, probably why the field didn't go straight through. Fall is good for scouting, but honestly late winter is best, after the snow has melted and beat down any vegetation. It's much easier to see what kind of topography you have to work with. Go any time the leaves are down and just start flagging potential trails, shouldn't interfere with hunting on the adjacent properties and you just might move deer to the hunters. If you have any rocks, they may be in the creek beds. Dirt ditches don't last all that long , but a couple of good rains and they are completely different - some times silted in and sometimes eroded more!

my wife doesn’t like to take the Jeep to church because it messes up her hair. What’s your trick?

Get her one of those T-shirts that says "Jeep hair--don't care!" Maybe it won't bother her then. |

Spring (almost summer) has sprung. A perfect excuse for getting the Jeeps out.
It's coming into winter in our part of the world so the Jeep crusin' will be done with a few layers of clothes. I have just purchased a second CJ2A from the US and will be importing her in the coming months so I will be doing the "two Willys drive" thing soon. Thanks for sharing.

Jeff, just reading thru your post and enjoying all the comments. Picked up my CJ project several years ago but life events, school and three moves prevented me from tearing into it. I collect and restore or preserve depending on the project, WWII and Korea era military vehicles. Mostly armor or trucks. But after starting on my 47 Willys this year, I've fallen in love with JEEPS! Picked up a 1942 Ford GPW that had been sitting in a hanger for 20+ years and got it back into runing condition while working on my CJ. The GPW has been a ball to drive and gets thumbs up every where I go. Even have it scheduled to be in a movie this fall. Plan is to give each of my children a Jeep, so I will have to come up with 2 more projects. Could pass a halftrack or other onto them, but Jeeps are easy to park in a garage, maintain, store and a lot easier to drive. So I will be follow your advise regards picking up more Jeeps .
