Some of you have seen pictures of my 48 2A in my restoration post and commented on the color and asked about the paint type and formula. The paint used was Nason Ful-Thane 2K Urethane by DuPont. Here's what I have for the color information:

Non-Cum Guide           Mix Size:32.0 oz. (Quart)

430-18 Orange                    199.4
430-41 Quindo Maroon          67.6
430-56 Red Violet                 40.6
430-03 H.S. White               17.3
430-02 Carbon Black             4.2
435.91 Urethane Binder     613.6

I am not a paint guy and this is all greek to me (have no idea what a "non-cum guide" is), but that is what is on the paint can, and hopefully a good paint shop should be able to decipher/interpret it. Frankly, I was surprised to see orange as a major component (but then again, I don't think I ever really grasped the "color wheel" in art appreciation, either). Sorry it's taken so long to get this out to you all who requested it. To be safe, you may want to get a small sample mixed to be sure it's what you want. (I'm not vouching for the color, just reporting what's on the label.)

And here are a couple of pictures of the can and the attached formula. Hope this helps.

Thanks for posting this Doug.  I will be painting mine at some point and will have this in the pile of reference material.

I know this thread is rather old but do you mind posting pics of your jeep with that paint color

I took my PTO shroud that was never repainted in to Sherwin Williams and the closest we came was to this paint code for a modern color Acrylic Enamel  5AC-2826597-00

If that is any help.  My only question is, was the PTO shroud painted the same color?
