Building the front panel to rope into the M38 windshield may be a challenge..whetever it ends up, do-overs, patchovers, lumps and bumps it'll be one-off and mine..

That's what I'm talking about!

Windshield rope channel panel done and mocked up with the top canopy. Am using small spots of hot melt glue to tack the finished panels together for fitment.  Fab-d up the rear panel template yesterday and will build and mock it up with the other 2. Once satisfied with fitment i'll stitch the panels together..

NO! the doors are not my work, they're from my full top from Pizzo's, my design idea was to be sure on hand items were compatible.

this 40ga looks good.. wonder how flexible it is, it's gotta be able to "roll up".

I'm still in need of a common sense fastener punch.  It can be done with a  round hollow punch and x-acto knife but it's time consuming..Wink

This is the stuff I use:

https://www.sailrite.com/Plastipane-20-Gauge-Vinyl-Window-Material-54

I don't like using thick vinyl because it gets hard, turns yellow and cracks. The thinner stuff can be folded without fatiguing it. I'm on the back side of my fifth winter with BAM BAM's top. I've never treated the windows with anything and they are still as soft as they were when I installed them.

I wouldn't get vinyl from Joaann Fabrics or Hobby Hobby.

Watch the needle when sewing that thick vinyl, it gets hot!
I found out by burning myself when I made my doors.

Your top is looking great by the way.

Hey there my Idaho amigo!

I don't know if you have purchased the vinyl yet but hold on!

I purchased a large roll from Sailrite this year. The thickness is .039"so it is a 40 gage as I recall. I don't fold it as it does leave a slight crease for a day or two. I used it to make my curtains. I normally roll up my curtains and doors. If you want to use this thickness let me know how big of a piece do you need? I can also send you a sample in the mail if you would like.

Just let me know

Tumbleweed..........
