Nice work! When are you posting glam shots with it installed?

Ditto on Jpet's warning against the Joanns vinyl. That's what I had in mine and I just replaced the door windows with marine 30 gauge about a month ago. The wind caught the door with temps well below zero and the side mirror went right through it.

Then the passenger side skylite in the front developed a small crack a couple days ago - about a half inch long. A sustained run at 60mph blew it completely open. I'll be replacing the skylites this weekend.

Is the exhaust shield on yours part of the fording kit part or custom? I love it!

-edit-
Nice B-17 hanging in the rafters. Thumbs Up
Are you going to put windows in the side behind the doors?

Thx Les, I hope to be done in the next week or so and will get some pics outside the shop.
This M38 has all the orig fording stuff as equipped by US Army 1951, the exhaust shield is
M151 and not stock to the M38.
I'm toying with small wdws behind the doors but not certain..

They are beautiful for checking traffic making a lane change. Just keep the radiused corners for a stock look.

You could mock it up - spray some poster board OD and tape it in place of the side curtain. Put the rest of the half-top on and cut the window in.

Looking good. While you are at it and have extra canvas left, are you making a matching jeep driver's suit? OD canvas neck tie? Cuff links made out of the fasteners? Montana Canvas in Bellgrade sells Canvac cologne! LOL

DONE! A challenging but rewarding project. The guys who can build this stuff (you know who you are) with seemingly little effort have my utmost respect. Thx guys for all the kind words thru out the build.. But I gotta impose the 10ft viewing rule when we meet this spring. Learning to handle the Juki beast was a steep learning curve.
