Welcome to the page, Deano1481!  How complete is your M-38?
There's a reason it's called Ol' Unreliable

Deano,

You may wish to consider replacing the rubber lines to attach to the metal brake lines as well. If they are original they may be swelled up in the interior of the rubber line hindering the flow of brake fluid.

I just replaced mine on my jeep as well as the wheel and master cylinders and the two metal S lines that go to the front wheel cylinders. The old metal S lines failed when I tried to unfasten them.

Have you ventured over and looked at willysmjeeps?  Not to dissuade you from this page but if your M38 is stock or has a lot of stock systems left, there is a lot of useful info on there.

Hit the books Deano-detailed publications are abundant. Everything you need to know is in print. Questions are good but show that you've done your homework first. I have a stock M38 and will help-only if you help yourself. Muley
