I would balance them.
My deestones took a ton of weights to balance
1947 CJ2A #88659 "Rat Patrol"
1953 CJ3A #453-GB1 11266 "Black Beauty"
1964 Thunderbird convertible
..... & one of them moves under it's own power!!

I will balance them especial knowing yours took a lot of counter weights.
Cheap Deestone tires but I like the stock NDT look.

I edited a new video of my progress over the last 7 weeks.
The last 10% of work will probably take 7 more weeksEmbarrassed

Seems like a shame to put that engine in a Vette.
I put a Stude in my jeep because it was freshly rebuilt, strong running and $400.
Small update on Tealy, new 6 volt battery and the generator is charging.
Next is cleaning the gas tank and fuel lines.

Happy new year everybody. It's been a while but progress has been steady.
Emergency Brake is installed and functioning way better than I expected.
Front drive shaft installed, 4 low and high work.  lots of snow to play in here in Colorado.
Installed fenders and repaired the missing grill slot.
New seat frames installed.
Oil pressure and speedometer installed.

Hand crafted a new 15" steering wheel the old 18" kept staining my shirts.
Insta-black and sealed the new wheel, looks amazing IMO.
Sectioned a new exhaust down pipe, i will be using bends on the rest of the piping.
Installed shift levers on the transfer case, note install levers before tub in order to not cut a hole in the tub to install pivot pin.

Next will be a new gas tank and wiring.

I want to Thank Rob @ Overland Vintage Jeep 970-218-8622 for selling the Shifter Levers, speedometer and most important the head light bezels.
The bug eye bezel are cool but not really the best look.
Rob has an incredible shop and looks to do professional work.  Here's a few pic of his laid up willys fleet.
Unfortunately, i didn't take any pics of the finished beautiful jeeps inside the shop.

I like the 100 mph speedo but not sure it would be safe at that speed.

Yes sir weld beads for finger grooves on SCH. 80 GRC pipe.
I'm sure it will be scorching hot in direct sun.

If you ever wanted to know how much a CJ2A survivor project costs?
About $5625.01 not including the price of jeep.
5 months of wrenching
Wiring and paint are still not done.
But I Have a running and driving CJ2A that should be reliable "enough"
check out the budget report below.

The temporary fuel tank is no more.  New Omix tank installed and sending unit.
Of course the filler neck was tweaked from shipping, PVC pipe over the neck to bend it back and it will do.
I used 1/4" silicone strip sheet under the tank and around the outlet.
Rattle canned the first bit of paint on the tub under the seat, Rustoleum Rust Reformer Flat black.
I Fabricated the hold down straps and rear mount.
Then went and tested in the snow.  Not ideal in the icey snowstorm, handled as expected.
