I have a 60x40 pole shed, but after 20 some years, and a bunch of Jeeps... it's pretty full. I don't really have the room to just let something sit in one spot for a long time, so I need to keep my stuff mobile. Luckily, Jeeps have engines and if they run, they can drive themselves out of the way. But when I'm working on something like my latest '46 project, I need to be able to move the tub and the frame while I'm working on it. Especially with winter coming.
My solution, two wheeled carts. You can get 10" pneumatic tires with wheels for like 8 bucks at Harbor Freight, (or in my case, I save them from old lawn tractors and stuff) then make an axle for them and lag bolt them to a 2X8. Then I screw them to a pallet and voila... instant one handed portability. Even in soft sand (depending on the size of your tires. Here's a pic of my tub and frame on one each: And here are some close ups of them: I use these things for non Jeep related things also... like logs, my engine hoist, moving plywood etc... They work great for moving large items by yourself, in any kind of terrain or ground. Just thought I'd share in case any of you need to figure out a new way to move large items.
