My $75 Bantam Trailer

   I spoke to a few of you at the Spring Reunion about my most recent purchase. 

Three weeks ago I bought a trailer at auction for $75 and was able to pick it up on Monday.  That was the opening bid and nobody bid against me.   Actually, my buddy did the bidding for me in my absence.

It's in great shape.  Very solid and straight floor.  Only a few small holes need repaired.

The down side is a missing serial number, landing leg, original Fulton hitch, and original rims/tires.

The back bumper is bolted on to the frame, so no biggie taking off and filling holes.  I will need tailgate chains.

I'm very greatful for my friends who helped me get this and save it from becoming another wood hauler or junk trailer.   I won't get to it for awhile until I finish my shop.   But it will be next then my other Bantam after that.    Anyway, this never happens to me at auctions.  Someone is always there bidding me up.  Enjoy hearing anyone's observations from the pictures.   I'll try sanding down the tailgate for any possible logos tomorrow.

	Art, These are modern replacement reflectors. Not originals. Anyone know how I would go about asking the Missouri DMV about a 1994 plate on this trailer to see if there was a serial (VIN) number associated with it? Thanks, Randy

	most states only hold registered plate numbers for 10 years after the last registered payment.... Ohio only holds them for 7 years.....

	low, It also had a newer AZ plate on top of the MO plate, but AZ plate doesn't have a year stamped into it. I'm still trying to find something out on either plate. Thanks, Randy
