I was digging through some old family photos and found this one of my mom sitting in her uncle's jeep. She was born in 1926. This was probably right after the war. Looks like a CJ2A. Can anyone narrow it down?

Looks like a 2A to me.....wow, and if they had only panned back far enough to see the shape of that windshield washer!
(never mind, looks like a later rear axle. I guess the WS washer is round anyway)

Neat picture.

What a wonderful picture! Does the early rear seat give us any clues? Beautiful!

My guess is late 46 or early 47 due to the lower door hinge mount being the early ankle knocker & the small back rear seat. Also leaning towards 47 as the rear view mirror has the shiny ring that I believe came later.
I sure do love old photos of our folks. It is hard to believe how handsome they really were when they were kids. My mom was born in 22 and when I see photos back in the day she was a cutie too. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your thoughts guys. So it seems to be a late '46-early '47.  That would put her at about 20 years old.  She was hot, my dad sure thought so!  Sadly, she died at age 36, I was just a small tot and only have fleeting memories of her.  So photos like these mean a lot to me.

The "rear seat", looks like the "early style" that was used in 45-46 cj2a's, so it is most likely a 46.

Beautiful lady with a gorgeous smile!
